Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. In the last decade Angela Evelyn has appeared in television and film. She's received several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is originally from New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett and her sister, who were about five years old, made the move out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their divorced father. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal to become an actor come true. The year was 1980 and Bassett graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1980, Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main parts in the action film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
